SDG. 11.2.4 public access to open spaces

On 26.11.2021, the tutor of the Faculty of Economics and Management E. Jalolov with the students of group 33-SHXK-20 visited the historical STATE MUSEUM of Namangan region.
The State Museum of History and Culture of Namangan Region - based on the decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the Republic of Turkestan dated April 19, 1918, two rooms were allocated from the building of the 7-year-old 1st Russian secondary school under the authority of the Namangan city public education department and used as a physics museum-cabinet. According to the decision of the Council of Elders of Turkestan on August 20, 1920, in order to further expand the activities of the museum, the shop building of the merchant Hamdam Qalandarov in the center of the city of Namangan was allocated for the museum.
 By 1922, the number of museum exhibits reached 2000. Residents of the city helped as much as they could in collecting historical artifacts. By 1923, departments of Zoology, Mineralogy, Anatomy, Numismatics, and Educational Tools were operating in the museum. V.I. Ivanov in 1920-1927 and Inomjon Nizambaev in 1927-1937 contributed greatly to enriching the museum with new exhibits. At the time of its first establishment, it was called the Namangan city museum of local history, after 1934 it was called the inter-district museum, and from 1938 it was called the Namangan regional museum of local history named after M.I. Ben-Gherari. In the period from 1920 to 1930, the Namangan Regional Museum of Local History named after M.I. Ben-Gherari regularly filled its exhibition halls. During this period, the museum had nine: Department of Zoology, Department of Agriculture, Department of Cotton and Silk, Department of Agronomy and Pest Control, Department of Revolution, Gallery of Photographs, Sculptures and Engravings, Historical there was an archeological department, and craft departments. In 1938, the museum was temporarily closed in order to re-equip the exhibition halls. In 1939, the departments of nature, history, socialist construction were established, and after the completion of the equipment work, they resumed their work. By 1940, the number of exhibits was 10,000. It contains exhibits reflecting nature, historical monuments, architecture, practical art, medicine, and cultural life of our country. In 1941, due to the Second World War, the museum was temporarily closed until 1943. On September 8, 1943, the organizing committee of the Supreme Soviet of Uzbekistan on the establishment of the Namangan region decided to reopen the Namangan regional museum of local history . In 1945, the Regional Museum of Regional Studies started working again with 4 departments. Since 1970, the scientific staff of the museum expanded the collection of ethnographic data and exhibits. As a result, information was gathered about many people who led in Namangan region and showed heroism at the front. In 1971-1976 and 1978-1979, during the directorship of the museum Ikromjon Akbarov, the achievements of the museum in previous years were taken into account, and in 1976 it was placed among the museums of the second category. During the period of Khamidkhan Dadaboev, who was the director of the museum in 1979-1986, the issue of building a new adapted building for the museum was put on the agenda. Construction work began in 1986, and the building was completed at the end of 1987[5]. The building has 3 floors, the total area is 53201 square meters, 1700 square meters of exhibition area, 520 square meters of fund rooms. In 1987, during the directorship of Oktamjon Rustamov, it was moved to a new building. On April 22, 1988, the opening ceremony of the new building was held on Nadim Namongoni street in Namangan city. As a result of the enthusiasm and effective work of the employees, the museum became one of the First Class museums in 1998. This year, under the leadership of its director Saidakhan Muhammadieva, the works of equipping the nature department on the 2nd floor began. The group of painters of the Regional Union of Artists, led by Tora Ashurov, will decorate the exhibition halls in a special way to reveal the nature of the region. In the following years, the services of the scientific staff working under the leadership of Erkin Karaboev in equipping the nature department with dioramas and showcases related to the nature, flora and fauna of our region, and various topics are incomparable. Ibrahimjon Yunusovich Yusupov was appointed as the director of Namangan Regional Museum of Regional Studies in August 2004. Since that day, radical changes have been made in the museum's scientific potential, and the museum's development has reached the stage of development. In particular, in 2004-2008, exhibition halls of history, ethnography, sports of Namangan region, Namangan, Namangan literary environment in the years of independence were equipped on the basis of a planned thematic-expositional plan based on the needs of the times.
