State scholarship named after Pakhlavon Mahmud will be introduced
A resolution of the President "On measures to further improve the system of personnel training and scientific research in the field of physical culture and sports" was adopted.
According to the decision, educational programs at the State University of Physical Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan and its branches will be formed according to the program of foreign higher education, which has a high international rating.
From the 2023/2024 academic year, the following are exempted from passing professional (creative) entrance exams and receive maximum scores:
▫️Athletes with the honorary title of Athlete who served in Uzbekistan;
▫️Athletes with the title of Master of Sports of Uzbekistan of international class or Grandmaster of Sports of international class;
▫️Athletes with the title of Master of Sports of Uzbekistan or Grandmaster of Uzbekistan;
▫️Athletes who took (1st place) the championship of the republic in sports included in the program of the Olympic and Paralympic, Asian and Para-Asian Games last year.
From January 1, 2023, the state scholarship named after Pakhlavon Mahmud in the fields of physical culture and sports will be introduced.
From January 1, 2023, the Academic Council will be established to award the academic degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences (DSc) in the specialty "Theory and Methods of Physical Education and Sports Training".
