The procedure for paid internship for students has been established
By the government decision (No. 11, 08.01.2024), the regulation on the procedure for organizing paid internships for students of higher education organizations at enterprises of economic sectors was approved.
According to the regulations, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation organizes a competition among students at least once a year in order to organize a paid internship.
500 places will be allocated for internships (45 for the city of Tashkent, 35 for the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the regions).
To participate in the competition, the student submits the application personally, by mail or electronically to the institution of higher education where he is studying.
To participate in the competition, the student:
- to be studying at the graduate level;
- the field of education (specialty) should correspond to the field of activity in the branch enterprise;
- Must be a resident of Uzbekistan.
The higher education organization submits information about the applied students to the Special Commission with a referral letter within 5 working days.
The special commission will review these documents within 5 working days from the date of receipt and make a decision on whether the student will participate in the competition or not.
The special commission will defend the work plan for the organization of student practice (in the form of a presentation) and make a final decision within 20 days.
Within 10 working days after the final decision, information on the results of the competition will be posted on the official website of the ministry.
The practice is carried out within the period from 1 month to 3 hours, in the periods specified in the curriculum.
There is no trial period for the student's internship.
The costs of the internship of the winning students will be reimbursed within 15 days after the final decision of the Special Commission.
In this case, the student's salary in the amount of 2 times the BHM and the social tax calculated for him will be transferred to the appropriate account number.
The regulation does not apply to military and paramilitary higher education institutions.
