Quality Education Means Great Responsibility

The experts analyzed the President's address to the Oliy Majlis and found that the word "education" was used most often. And not in vain, because the next year was declared by the head of state "the year of attention to people and quality education."

The petition focuses on education as the second priority in 2023. It is noted that resources will be doubled and 1.7 trillion soums will be allocated for preferential educational loans for university students next year. 1.8 trillion soums will be allocated for science and innovation.

Particular attention in the petition is given to the word "quality education". Because the tensions of today require us to provide quality education to students. Professors and teachers of our institute are actively working in this direction. Thanks to their efforts, NamISI is listed as a “reporter” in the world university rankings of the prestigious Times Higher Education agency and is included in the list of contenders for a place in the top 1000 rankings.

In the address of the head of state, special thoughts were expressed about supporting talented youth and the future fate of graduates. Our team sets high goals for itself in this direction as well. In particular, NamECI entered the top 20 ranking of higher educational institutions accepted for public service through an open competition, and was recorded in 11th place in the republic.

The head of state noted the need to effectively use the capabilities of vocational schools, colleges and technical schools, said that European standards for vocational education will be introduced in one technical school in each region, and all colleges and technical schools will be covered by this system in the next five years. He also said that separate engineering schools will be created in cooperation with prestigious international organizations. There is no need to emphasize how important this news is for us as a university with technical institutes.

“Now our scientists must show concrete results in areas that are relevant to us today, such as water and energy conservation, soil fertility and productivity, geology, industry, and construction,” the petition says. This also imposes a great responsibility on the staff of our institute, which is engaged in engineering and construction work. I hope that we will fulfill this task with honor.

Sharibboy Ergashev,

Rector of the Namangan Engineering-Construction Institute
