Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States
Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States. In it, the President of Uzbekistan noted that it is extremely important for our countries to determine common approaches and coordinate efforts to solve the most pressing problems in the current dangerous situation.
Sh. Mirziyoyev also put forward a number of proposals:
- create within the framework of the Organization a "region of new economic opportunities" to ensure the free movement of trade, investment and services;
- Annually hold the International Turkish Economic Forum with the participation of representatives of the leading enterprises of the member countries and observer countries and the world;
- development by the Ministers of Transport by the end of the year of a clear plan and effective mechanisms for joint cooperation;
- Adoption of a multilateral agreement within the framework of the Organization to create an effective food supply system based on the needs of our world and domestic markets and the production capabilities of countries;
- establishment of a comprehensive partnership between the Organization of Turkic States and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations;
- to hold an international congress of science and innovations of the youth of the Turkic world next year in Uzbekistan;
- holding regular dialogues between foreign ministers in order to develop a common approach to the Afghan issue;
- Carrying out institutional reforms in the organization. To do this, create separate committees at the ministerial level for politics and security, trade and investment, transport, agriculture, energy, information technology, tourism, innovation and education, medicine, youth and other areas.
