SDG. 14.5.5

In the Department of Construction and Installation of Engineering Communications, Associate Professor Juraev Sherali Sharipovich, Ph.D., in the PhD thesis work entitled "Evaluation of the effectiveness of local raw materials to reduce the filtration process in priming an object", the " Ground wall" method was used to reduce the filtration process in the central reservoir of Fergana. Currently, it is used in the reservoir to reduce the filtration process and to protect and manage water resources.
The use of the "Wall in the soil" method to reduce the filtration process of underground structures is effective. As we know, it is recommended to fill the trench with various filtration-reducing raw materials according to the "Wall in the Soil" method. The bentonites of the Logon quarry in the Kuvasoi region were used as local raw materials for the Fergana valley.
An underground wall up to 40 meters deep is being built to prevent filtration along the reservoir dam. In this case, a trench with a width of 60 cm is dug with Italian SC 70, SC 90 and special SOILMEC, SANY grab machines from China. During the excavation of the trench, a solution is prepared and poured into the trench, and this solution forms a 4 mm thick layer (cork) on the walls of the trench. The 4 mm layer prevents the trench walls from collapsing, ensuring dam strength and reduced filtration.
